Multiple Streams Of Affiliate Income

One of the principles by which I operate is this:  get maximum use from everything.

The very post that you’re reading is an example of this strategy in use.  What you’re going to read below was excerpted from my Affiliate Payraise course.  In the course, I teach 27 ways to increase your affiliate commissions.  The information I’ll be sharing below is ONE of those “27 ways”.

Do you see how this aligns with my “get maximum use from everything” principle?

I could easily have written another article to provide content for today’s post that pointed you towards the course.

But why would I?  Why would I when I could simply extract ONE of the 27 ways mentioned in the course?  It doesn’t harm my potential to get sales … there are still 26 other ideas in the course that I’m not mentioning here today.  If anything, this HELPS in promoting the course.

The point is the same:  I’m now getting more use from the content I’ve already written.

That’s a principle you need to put into practice.

And the simple suggestion that I’m going to share with you now for creating “multiple streams of affiliate income” is built firmly upon that foundational principle.

What you want as an affiliate is to promote not ONE offer but SEVERAL related offers AT THE SAME TIME.

All things being equal, it would be better for you to use the EXACT SAME time and energy to promote 5 affiliate program offers as opposed to just one, right?

So, let’s talk about how you can do this.

It’s simple really -

Create an Asset That Promotes Multiple Related Offers

This asset can be…

* An ezine article
* A video presentation
* A special report
* A teleseminar
* A blog post
* An email mini-course
* An eclass.

It can be anything that allows you to promote multiple related offers.

Let me give you some examples…

Example #1: Let’s suppose you’re promoting gardening products. You might create a short report all about the best gardening tools and how to use them, along with links to the products. This particular report might include links to gardening gloves, a trowel and a watering can.

Example #2: Or take the example of an email mini-course for weight loss. You might develop a 5-part series entitled, “5 Ways To Lose An Extra Pound Per Week” where you focus on burning extra calories, reducing calorie intake, boosting metabolism, etc.  In each of these lessons you could recommend a product that further explains the topic … using your affiliate links.

Example #3: Or create a set of internet marketing tutorials. You might create a video tutorial set for beginning marketers that tells them how to choose a domain name, how to choose a web host, how to change the domain’s nameservers to point to the host, and how to get an autoresponder up and running fast. Naturally, you’d use affiliate links to point to the domain name registrar, web host and autoresponder service.

There are many, many ideas that you an use to employ this principle.

How about a “real” case study?

CASE STUDY:  I’ll give you the “ultimate example” of this strategy in a “real life” setting.  Download my free report, “10 Ways To Make $10K Per Month” by Clicking Here.  Notice how this ONE asset simultaneously promotes 10 different offers while providing valuable content to the reader.  That’s how you use this strategy effectively!

Remember, you do NOT want to promote multiple similar products in these reports or articles. (You can do that in a product comparison.) Instead, promote multiple related products, all of which the readers needs to follow the “how to” instructions you laid out in your content.

Doing so is an easy way for you to create multiple streams of affiliate income.

    I like the concept of not promoting competing products, but related products. The trowel, gloves and a watering can relate but don’t conflict.

    Thanks.

    Man, I’m glad you found me! Or was it the other way around? :) Your stuff is top-notch. Dead-simple but often (very often) overlooked. You boil down complex things into bite-size, easy-to-eat pieces. I am SO GLAD that we crossed paths!

    This post, by the way, is awesome. I, too, like the idea of promoting related products (as opposed to single products and/or similar products). Brilliant.

    Useful principle, but not only principle, but the fact, which we alone-workers meet every day. We just have to work economically and to put our energy for productive things - only. To hit two flies with the one hit is a great principle. Thanks - great post.

    Take care,

    Hey Jimmy

    I’m a great student of yours.I’ve personally used and tested some of the methods that you’ve taught to great success.Well the tips that you mentioned here is a proven one but unfortunately I’ve already learned it long time ago from YOU!!
    You never taught it publicly but as I’m a fan of yours,I’ll always do a case study of your FREEBIES and products. That’s how I learn from you!!

    -Good day Jimmy

    Jimmy,

    I hit upon this idea myself over time and structured a similar format for product creation…

    But,

    I keep reading your blogs, materials and resources so I can learn by osmosis, the well-structured way you put your ideas down. Great article as always.

    Jimmy, thanks for all these nice tips!

    I’ve been trying to mix and match the different components of my set of affiliate package offering. What is the optimum number of companies that is acceptable to newbie IM’ers? I know one who has packaged 22 streams of income with one instructional video of each to register…I just found it too tedious, laborious, and boring considering that each video lasts around 30 minutes.

    This is good advice Jimmy.
    It’s like what you say in your Affiliatenaire course where you tell affiliate marketers that they should create one blog that addresses a general topic instead of trying to make a lot of blogs or websites that each promote a specific niche like others will tell you to do, because then you can use the general topic to promote multiple things related to that topic.

    Another advantage to that, especially for beginners, is that it should be easier to try and get traffic to one blog / website than to try and get traffic to multiple sites on the internet.
